COMPETITION RULES 2024-25
All cup games MUST be played on or before the deadline date. Failure to do so will result in both schools being eliminated from the competition. The only circumstance in which an extension may be granted will be because of an unplayable pitch. If this occurs the secretary must be informed ON THE DAY of the cancellation. The deadlines for cup games have been extended throughout the season in an attempt to avoid such scenarios arising, so please make cup fixtures a priority and organise early so rescheduled games may also be played on or before the deadline.
Schools should aim to play at least one league game per month. The deadline for all games to be played is Friday 9th May 2025.
It is up to both schools to make contact regarding arranging fixtures. Please inform the competition convenor if there are any problems. If you are having any problems arranging fixtures, please contact the competition convenor.
Teams that withdraw from the league will result in all previous results being declared void and any outstanding games will be cancelled. Competition convenor must be contacted ASAP.
Results of all league and cup matches must be emailed to sgordon748@c2ken.net.
Match ball size: U12’s, U13’s & U14 Girls will use size 4. U14 boys & over will use size 5.

Home team to provide a referee for all league games.
A league will not be decided on goal difference. If two teams are tied at the top of a league, the winner of their head-to-head match will be the league winners. If the head-to-head match was a draw, there will be a playoff for the title at a neutral venue with a neutral referee. (This rule will also apply to league group stages if applicable). If the playoff remains a draw after extra time, penalties will decide the winner. In instances where three teams are tied, a three way round robin at an agreed venue will determine the winner.
Away team to provide a referee for all cup matches.
Cup matches can be decided by extra time (5 mins e/w) and penalties up to and including the final stage of the competition.
Referees must be a teacher or IFA qualified person.
Clash of team colours – home team to change unless agreement between both teams.
A player sent off in a match will automatically miss the next match. In the case of a serious breach of competition rules or sporting behaviour then contact the competition convenor. It is up to the team coach to police this themselves.
Staff must remain in control of their teams and any parents that are spectating. Staff must always remain professional.
